Welch Company: Home Décor ‘Shore’ to Inspire

Chatting with Caroline Warner, Owner of Welch Company

How would you describe the shopping experience at Welch Company?

Our items range from fun, beachy home décor accessories and luxurious bath products to exquisite linens and an eclectic mix of home furnishings and lighting. Floor-to-ceiling windows flood the space with natural light and products are arranged in vignettes that are meant to inspire. We carry handmade pieces from local artisans and collections from companies like Mariposa, Vietri, Juliska, Michael Healy Design and Marshes Fields & Hills.

When did you create Violandi + Warner Interiors?

About five years ago, a mutual friend introduced me to Robin Violandi, knowing we were both passionate about interior design. We formed a partnership and opened our design studio 3 years ago, which is located on the second floor of Welch Company.

What home decor trends are really popular right now?

Neutral hues are especially popular right now, “greige” is one example. Navy blue is a classic color and is perfect for grounding a space, and touches of satin brass add a nautical feel. In rooms with a monochromatic palette, I love to layer in texture with pillows, throws and natural fiber rugs.
