Canton resident Mike Norwood is the founder of Wears Woody, a company known for hawking summertime staples like cozy T-shirts, baseball caps and flip-flops to beachgoers from a fleet of brightly colored Wagoneers.
Norwood has lived with Type 1 diabetes his entire life and uses his brand to help raise money and awareness for the disease. Most recently, he signed on to do a charitable fundraiser walk. On June 28, Norwood and his 14-year-old son, Jack, will embark on a 100-mile trek across Cape Cod, from the Sagamore Bridge to the Provincetown Town Pier to help fund JDRF’s efforts to make life-changing breakthroughs and make living with T1D safer and healthier, until there is a cure. The father and son hope to raise $10,000. Donate to the cause.
