Q&A with Kaliroi Lekkas, numaBlu Hair Salon & Day Spa

Meet Kaliroi Lekkas of numaBlu Hair Salon & Day Spa in Abington

What is the story behind numaBlu Hair Salon & Day Spa?

Inspired by a lifelong passion for beauty, fashion and the arts, as well as several trips to exotic destinations throughout the world, the partners at numaBlu Hair Salon & Day Spa have created a space that offers a wide range of professional beauty and skincare services. It is the perfect opportunity for our guests to unwind and leave feeling refreshed and balanced.

What services do you specialize in at numaBlu?

Our team specializes in hair styling, coloring, facials, body treatments, waxing, eyelash extensions, oncology skincare and more. I am most specialized in hair styling, coloring and corrective color.

What sets your business apart from the competition?

Our salon and day spa offers a modern setting and luxurious product lines. We are committed to using products that are cruelty-free, made from organic ingredients and often vegan. Our staff is highly trained and dedicated to delivering high quality services and a complete experience for the senses.

What inspired you to create your own product line?

We created our own line of hair and skincare products as well as our own makeup line because we are very selective about the products that are used at numaBlu Hair Salon & Day Spa.  We use only the finest ingredients, and some of the ingredients are not easily available in quantities large enough to be mass-marketed. One of the benefits of creating our own product line is that we know the exact date it is made and can guarantee that each product is fresh.

What inspired you to pursue a career in beauty and aesthetics?

Beauty and aesthetics go far beyond the surface, as it can be very empowering when we look and feel our best. I have always been creative and with an extensive background in science and cosmetology, aesthetics comes very naturally. I really love that our team has the opportunity to share our years of experience, training and research with the South Shore community.
