Hull’s Rinato Bistro is truly unique in the variety of atmospheres it offers to diners. Whether you prefer an evening of fine dining upstairs, or a more casual night watching a Sox game at the bar downstairs, Rinato Bistro seeks to deliver an experience that will keep customers coming back.

In Italian, the word rinato means reborn. Locals who visit the restaurant, which opened on Halloween, will notice a rebirth of the building itself. Located on Nantasket Avenue where Bridgeman’s once stood, the restaurant’s remodeled downstairs provides a warm and inviting atmosphere, with hardwood floors and comfy leather chairs. Diners can choose from a high-top table by the bar, cozy fireside dining or a table near the kitchen where they can watch their meal being prepared through giant windows in the stonework wall.

A newly expanded bar area offers guests a selection of local craft beers and specialty cocktails, as well as an extensive wine list, to enjoy while watching a game on one of the large TV screens.

Upstairs, patrons will find a more traditional, upscale dining experience. Here, the same menu is available in a quieter, white linen tablecloth environment. Large windows offer incredible views of Nantasket Beach, making the room perfect for elegant functions like rehearsal dinners and graduation parties.

Summer is the perfect time to take advantage of the restaurant’s outdoor patio area, where guests can enjoy a meal by the glass fireplace and watch the sunset over the beach.

Owner Harold Paine says his goal was to maintain the option of fine dining for Bridgeman fans—but also to offer a more approachable, fun experience as an alternative. His passion for great food is evident in high-caliber of the cuisine served. Rinato Bistro offers Italian fusion meals and is focused on using local and fresh ingredients in ways that make them shine. And with numerous vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free options available, every diner is sure to have an amazing meal.

To start, try Rinato Bistro’s specialty Italian nachos. In this twist on a pub classic, the chips are made from fresh pasta and topped with tomato basil salsa, eggplant, peppers and asiago mascarpone fondue. For a lighter option, go for the wood-grilled calamari, served over a bed of arugula and fennel and drizzled with lemon vinaigrette.

A main course that’s sure to be popular on summer nights is the sesame-seared tuna. If the pop of the hot-pink tuna steak against the white rice isn’t enough to catch your attention, the crispy sesame outside and refreshing watermelon salsa will surely draw you in. Rinato Bistro’s signature entrée and bestseller is the pan-seared scallops. Served over a sweet corn risotto with a pancetta crisp and blood orange reduction, these perfectly prepared local scallops will melt in your mouth. It’s no surprise customers love this flavorful meal.

When it comes time for dessert, you won’t want to miss out on the blueberry and cream bread pudding with a limoncello reduction. The bread pudding is irresistible and perfectly balanced by the tart limoncello—a deliciously sweet finale to your dining experience.
