Intoxicating Aromas

With scents like bonfire, toasted marshmallow and cardamom cedar blossom, the essence of summer is perfectly encapsulated by each eco-conscious candle made by the Plymouth-based company Bottles and Bonfires. Empty wine bottles are collected from area restaurants (saving them from the landfill) and repurposed into attractive vessels for the boutique line of scented candles. Green, golden brown and yellow glass bottles are carefully cut, sanded and filled by hand with 100 percent soy wax that has been infused with one of 10 unique and earthy scents, such as brandied pear, amber and black currant, and Viognier and fresh leaves. The candles burn clean and slow, lasting more than 70 hours, and are phthalate free. Crafted in small batches, they are designed to evoke memories of warm summer nights spent sipping wine around a campfire with friends. Close your eyes and experience the intoxicating aroma. 323-382-7754,
