Known as a destination for its fresh seafood, exciting atmosphere and fantastic water views, Captain Fishbones has been a landmark restaurant on Quincy’s Marina Bay boardwalk for 15 years. A team of new owners recently took over the restaurant and seek to exceed the expectations of diners. Executive chef Jose Cardoza’s new menu features cook-to-order fresh seafood, raw bar options, steak and filets, savory desserts and much more. An El Salvador native, chef Cardoza’s unique interpretations of traditional New England dishes put a new spin on old favorites.
“I feel like my job is a work of art,” says Cardoza. “I don’t know how to paint or make sculptures, but I do know how to create unique dishes and present it beautifully. Combining colors, flavors and ingredients is what I love to do.”
One of the new signature items on the Captain Fishbones menu is the Fire Roasted Salmon with quinoa salad that is topped with tzatziki sauce. Other favorites include stuffed lobster, swordfish and haddock. On warm summer nights, guests can dine outdoors on the patio overlooking the harbor.
