Famous for selling sausages outside Fenway Park, Hingham resident David Littlefield is “The Sausage Guy.” Littlefield started his vending business after graduating from Curry College in 1991. He started outside Patriots games selling boneless buffalo wings. Since wings didn’t work out, Littlefield switched to selling hot dogs and sausages.
This started his nickname as “The Sausage Guy.” He tried different jobs, but found that he most enjoyed being “The Sausage Guy.” He pursued his passion and made his private sales from his sausage cart into his full-time job.
Littlefield has expanded his business from a cart on Lansdowne Street to selling t-shirts, catering events, and shipping his sausages from online orders. Now people don’t have to go to Fenway to have a famous sausage from “The Sausage Guy.” Anyone can go buy the sausages at any Stop & Shop and Roche Brothers in New England.
