From soccer practices and swimming lessons to theater workshops and summer camp, transporting kids to their various sports and activities can be a logistical nightmare for parents. A new Hingham-based ride share business, A2B Kids, seeks to solve this problem by providing safe, scheduled, reliable transport.
“We can transport children from an infant in a car seat all the way up to 18 years of age,” says Rachelle Kulak, who cofounded A2B Kids with her friend Sam Donnelly in 2014. “It’s great for parents who need to be in two places at once.” The idea for the business came about several years back when Kulak was listening to people stress out about how to get their children from one place to another and she realized that there was a need for a convenient transportation option.
Safety is the number one priority for A2B Kids drivers, who are all certified. Parents can receive real-time text messages alerting them when their child was picked up, the route they are taking and even how fast the driver is driving. A2B KIDS currently services to within five miles of the center of Hingham, which includes parts of the surrounding towns of Cohasset, Scituate, Hull, Norwell, Weymouth and Hanover.
