If you haven’t dined at Alma Nove in a while, now might be a good time for a return visit. That’s because the popular Hingham Shipyard eatery recently launched a brand new menu—and we’re not just talking about seasonal ingredients.
Ever since opening in 2010, Alma Nove has been dishing out a delicious blend of Italian and Mediterranean favorites. But for the past few months, chef and owner Paul Wahlberg and his team have been busy testing out new dishes in an effort to shake things up a bit. New dishes include items like spring pea, ricotta and prosciutto ravioli with sautéed shrimp and yellow tomato-brown butter and a wood-grilled rib eye center served atop red bliss garlic-mashed potatoes with a red wine reduction and a Tuscan kale and parmesan slaw. To top things off they’re also crafting house-made fruit sorbet and ice cream. “It was time for a change,” says Wahlberg, who aims to bring the menu to the next level while keeping dishes seasonal. And after dedicating a significant amount of time on the expansion of his other restaurant, Wahlburgers, in China, Wahlberg says he’s excited to be back in the kitchen at Alma Nove doing what he loves best.
