W3 Networking Group Sponsors Food Drive To Benefit South Shore Support Services
– Donations Needed for Thanksgiving Dinner Baskets, November 14, 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM
WHAT: For the second year, the Women Working with Women Networking Group (W3), a cooperative of local and experienced professional women, will be collecting community food donations at the Hingham Community Center to benefit the South Shore Support Services, Wellspring and local food banks.All are welcome to donate and enjoy light fare, and refreshments. W3 members will be on hand to address how members they serve the community.
ITEMS NEEDED: Non-perishable items such as canned hams, canned food, paper products, and dry goods. W3 will assemble the donations into Thanksgiving baskets, add turkeys and deliver them.
WHERE: Hingham Community Center, 70 South St, Hingham, MA 02043
WHEN: Wednesday, November 14, 7:00 PM – 9:00 PM
WHY: According to The South Shore Health Compass, more than four percent of the local population in Hingham and Cohasset live under the poverty line.
The difficulties of hunger are often masked, and beneath shame and strong resilience. The W3 Group wants to ensure that no one is hungry and without a meal over the holiday, says W3 President Christine Cunning and Principal at Sullivan Garrity & Donnelly Insurance Agency. Even the smallest support from the community can make a tremendous difference for a family or individual that lacks the means to serve a Thanksgiving dinner.
