Recurring Event (See all)
Held in the heart of Marshfield Hills Village, The North River Arts Society’s (NRAS) Festival of the Arts is a one-of-a-kind block party-style celebration. Festivities kick off on Friday night with the annual preview party—an opportunity to catch a first glimpse of the juried fine artwork, sculpture and photography exhibits and to enjoy an evening of live entertainment, dancing under the stars and delicious dishes prepared by the Silent Chef in Scituate. Saturday and Sunday’s festivities include live art demonstrations and music performances, interactive activities for kids, food trucks, artisan booths offering everything from handcrafted silver and beaded jewelry to pottery and a daily giant puppet parade that travels up and down Old Main Street around lunchtime each day. The events take place from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. each day and extend from the Marshfield Hills General Store toward the NRAS headquarters at 157 Old Main Street, and around the corner onto Pleasant Street, adjacent to the Clift Rodgers Free Library. Admission to the festival is free and shuttle parking will be available.
