Liberty Pole Day Tells Revolutionary War Story at Alden House

Join 18th century reenactors as they bring to life an American Revolutionary War Encampment on the historic grounds of Alden House Historic Site.

Reenactors from Colonel Bailey’s 2nd Massachusetts Regiment, Yarmouth Minutemen, and Old Colony Militia will present a day of military drills, tactical demonstrations, craft programs, and children’s activities along with a blacksmith, spinners and hearth cook.  There will also be a special presentation by the Winslow House in Marshfield, which was home to the Loyalist physician Dr. Isaac Winslow.

Alden House will be open for tours and there will be refreshments for sale.

Admission to the event is $10 for adults; free for kids and students.   The event is supported by a grant from the Massachusetts Society of the Cincinnati and the Duxbury Cultural Council.
