Celebrate our coastal heritage with the Duxbury Rural & Historical Society and partners, on the lawn of the Nathaniel Winsor, Jr. House, featuring waterfront views of historic Duxbury Bay. A full schedule of events, perfect for all audiences.
The family-friendly daytime event, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., will feature local food trucks, historic house tours, shipbuilding demonstrations, nautical activities, family-friendly historical re-enactments, and a sea chantey concert. Blankets and picnics welcome. Enter the raffle to win a tour of Plymouth Light (Gurnet Light) and the historic Gurnet Lifesaving Station, generously donated by Project Gurnet and Bug Lights.
Adults, return to Nathaniel Winsor Jr. House on the evening of October 13th, for our “Tavern Night!”–from 6 p.m to 8 p.m.
Try your hand at the popular 1800s card game of whist in a card room provided by the Taunton Whist Club! Live Irish music in our double parlor, by the popular local group, The Lindsays! Delicious Raw Bar provided on the verandah by local favorite, Island Creek Oysters! Plentiful food and beverages provided by: The Foodsmith of Duxbury, The Oysterman, Roche Brothers, Empire Wine & Spirits and Sam Adams
