Mar. 15, 6:30 PM – NATHANIEL PHILBRICK at the Paul Pratt Memorial Library
National Book Award winner and Pulitzer Prize finalist Nathaniel Philbrick will present his book, “Second Wind: A Sunfish Sailor, an Island, and the Voyage that Brought a Family Together” at the Paul Pratt Memorial Library in Cohasset on Thu. Mar. 15, at 6:30 PM. “Second Wind” is a charming early memoir of a midlife event recounting Philbrick’s attempt to recapture a national sailing championship he’d won at twenty-two. Kirkus reviewers wrote: “an amiably witty book about sailing that will appeal as strongly to the uninitiated as to the addicted”. Philbrick is the New York Times bestselling author of “Valiant Ambition”, “In the Heart of the Sea” (winner of the National Book Award) and “Mayflower” (a finalist for the Pulitzer Prize). Other works include “Sea of Glory” “The Last Stand”, “Bunker Hill” as well as several others. He lives on Nantucket Island. Registration is required, and tickets are necessary for the signing line.
